Carrie Fisher who played Princess Leila in the original Star Wars trilogy suffered a massive heart attack while on a flight. The attack occurred while she was on board travelling from London to LAX in a United Airlines flight. The mishap occurred just 15 minutes before the flight could land. Luckily, an EMT who was also on board along with fellow passengers administered CPR in the first-class cabin where Fisher collapsed. Fisher was termed ‘unresponsive’ by the United Airlines crew.
A YouTube icon who happened to travel on the same flight with Fisher took to her Twitter account to break the news. Anna Akana mentioned in her tweet that Fisher was not breathing for 10 mins.
Many others, including several Star Wars alumni, were quick to send thoughts and prayers to Fisher on the micro-blogging site.
Fisher was rushed to UCLA Medical Center where she was in a critical condition on a ventilator. But according to the current media reports, Fisher is out of danger and is recuperating.
