Bollywood churns out 100s of films every year. Some work and some don’t. However, the actors who perform to the best of their ability generally shine through. Among these actors, some become popular stars and some become character actors. While all of us know the popular actors, how many character actors do you know by their name? Well, find out below.

1. Kumud Mishra

Of his many performances, the ones that have stayed in our minds are the recent films that he has been a part of. Be it his role of a coach in Sultan, or Erach Billimoria in Rustom or even the corrupt inspector in Jolly LLB 2, Kumud has found great respect for his work.

2. Rajesh Sharma

His journey in Bollywood started with Maachis and he has done phenomenal work in No One Killed Jessica, Khosla Ka Ghosla, Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana and very recently in Tanu Weds Manu Returns and M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story as well. His various characters have made us believe in his talent and we love how poker faced he can be while being comedic as well.

3. Adil Hussain

Adil made his entry into films with Kaminey and ever since he hasn’t looked back. His performance in Agent Vinod, English Vinglish, Main Aur Charles and Parched too were up to the mark. Would we want to lose a gem like him? I don’t think so.

4. Pawan Malhotra

Pawan is an actor par excellence, whom we have seen numerous times in film, however, there’s very little that we really know about him. His exemplary work in films includes films like Rustom, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Shaitan, Don 2, Jab We Met and more. His performances have been consistent and diligent.

5. Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub

If you’ve seen Tanu Weds Manu Returns, you are sure to be a fan of Mohammed Zeeshan for his fantastic portrayal of the quirky lawyer who falls in love with Kangana’s character and spoils her plans. His performances in films like Phantom, Raees, Raanjhanaa and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan have been fascinating as well. Wouldn’t we love to see more of him on screen?

6. Atul Kulkarni

His recent portrayal of a baddie in Raees, opposite Shah Rukh Khan and that of an honest naval officer in The Ghazi Attack is etched in our memories forever. While Atul has done a few more Hindi films, his work in Marathi and Malayalam cinema is highly appreciated.

7. Pankaj Tripathi

His work in Nil Battey Sannata, Dilwale, Masaan and Gangs Of Wasseypur Part 1 and Part 2 has definitely established him as a bankable star in Bollywood. Though he may not be a popular actor, but he is certainly a character actor and we love him for that.

8. Sanjay Mishra

“Dhonduu, just chill!!!!” is perhaps his most famous dialogue. But Sanjay Mishra is not only limited to his work in Golmaal series. His work in Masaan, Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Jolly LLB 2, Kick, All The Best: Fun Begins and many more such films is a proof that Sanjay is a wonderfully brilliant actor. He’s got everything that it takes to entertain us, and we love all his performances.
