They Earned Fame The Hard Way

In every field, a person has to work hard to prove himself worthy of success. While this is the universal truth, in the world of Bollywood, it takes more than just hard work. Persistence, talent, constant effort and a skin thick as that of crocodile’s is a must. In the cruel world of Bollywood, even though one is talented, it may take a while for them to get noticed by the influential. Here are some talented celebrities who made their way on their own. Check out what odd jobs they did before becoming who they are.

1. Sidharth Malhotra

Before becoming an actor, Sidharth worked as a model. In fact, he even worked as an assistant director for Karan Johar, before his own launch in Student Of The Year. Since then, there’s been no looking back.

2. Ranveer Singh

Have you ever wondered why Ranveer is such a maverick? Well that’s because before becoming an actor, he was working as a copywriter, and craziness just kept on bursting out from him! smiley

3. Nawazuddin Siddiqui

Before making it big as a character actor in Bollywood, Nawaz worked as a watchman for a few years. He even worked as a chemist for a while. Can you believe the sincerity and the confidence that he had in his talent? If it weren’t for his earnest want of becoming an actor, we would have missed out on a gem like him!

4. Arshad Warsi

Did you know that Arshad was once a door to door salesman for cosmetics at the ripe age of 17? He even worked at a photo-lab and choreographed for a while, to make ends meet.

5. Boman Irani

Boman was a waiter and room service attendant at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. He later even worked as a photographer and joined a theatre group. When Bollywood came calling, we were introduced to his acting calibre and we are so glad that happened!

6. Akshay Kumar

Akshay worked as a chef and waiter in Bangkok. When he returned to India, he worked as a martial arts teacher as well. It is through one of his students that he got the chance to becoming a model.
