Bollywood star Salman Khan has been convicted in the 1998 Blackbuck poaching case. The case has nearly taken twenty years in court and today beeing the final hearing saw the presence of Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre along with the key accused, Salman.
The court has acquitted the remaing actors of all charges but has convicted Salman Khan in the poaching case which can see him spend 2 years in jail along with a fine of 50,000.The final punishment is yet to be pronounced by the court.
If guilty, the actor can grant for bail in the sessions court in Jodhpur.
Update: Salman has been sentenced to 5 years in jail and has been presently taken to Jodhpur Central Jail. The actor will be kept in barrack 01.
