Actor-director Farhan Akhtar and actress Diana Penty are promoting their upcoming release Lucknow Central in full swing. The movie also stars Deepak Dobriyal, Gippy Grewal, Rajesh Sharma, Inaamulhaq and Ronit Roy. Directed by Ranjit Tiwari, Lucknow Central is all set to release on 15 September, 2017.
Farhan was last seen in the movie Rock On 2 and he has produced a lot movies like Raees, Baar Baar Dekho and Fukrey to name a few. But unfortunately, most of his recent movies as an actor and producer have bombed at the box office badly. So recently, when we interacted with the Rock On actor, we asked him if there’s any pressure with Lucknow Central in terms of box office collection since his movies have not done that well before, he said, “Well, of course you want your movie to do well. I am not different from anyone else. But it is not under your control, up to certain places you can worry about it. The film speaks for itself once it is out. And if people will connect with it, hopefully they will, know that it should do what it is destined to do at the box office. But I mean of course I am anxious to know what’s going to happen when the film releases. Now, it is up to the audiences to decide!”
Further, ask him if he thinks Kangana Ranaut’s film Simran will see competition with his film as the former is all over the news these days, he said, “There’s enough space for everybody. And there were many times that films have released together. Sometimes both films have worked, or sometimes both haven’t worked. So, it depends on the quality of the film and the content that is being put out. Hansal (Mehta) is a friend of mine and Kangana (Ranaut) is somebody I know… I hope their film does well and that’s all I can say.”
