Today, actress Kangana Ranaut and director Hansal Mehta graced the trailer launch event of their upcoming movie, Simran. We will see Kangana in an all new avatar, essaying the role of a Gujarati girl. The movie is all set to hit the theatres on .
During the launch event, the Gangster actress was asked about the controversy where the writer Apurva Asrani in a Facebook post had blamed her for stealing away the credits for writing the dialogues.
So today, when Kangana was finally out interacting with the media, one of the journalists asked about why Apurva had made all that allegations on her and she said, "Well to be honest now that all of us are here, I would like to clarify one thing that there is a lot of misconceptions about that whole thing which took place. First of all, I would like to clarify that there are no dues pending. Somehow its made to look like that Apurva has not been given his dues whereas we have done exactly what he asked for. And even we fail to understand. He is the one who suggested that I take additional credit dialogue and all the documents and contracts are signed that way. Post that also he and I worked on a schedule together. He came to my house and we all worked for another schedule. And after many months, he decided to write this note just when Rangoon flopped and many people attacked me, which I thought was in a very bad taste and was planned and extremely deliberate. But if there is anything that we can do in this matter, we would love to. But there is literally nothing, he has got all the credits he wanted and whatever we have done is keeping his consent in mind."
