Recently, we saw the first look and teaser of actor Saif Ali Khan's next, Kaalakaandi. In the teaser, we saw Saif's different avatar and it was quite appreciated by the fans.
But reportedly, the movie has been suggested with 68 cuts and it is one of the reasons that film's release is getting delayed. Today, actor Saif was present at the trailer launch of his upcoming movie, Chef, where he was asked about the same. He said, "There were a lot of cuts. There is a government body called FCAT. So, a lot of films that go there with a lot of cuts come out with no cuts or really less cuts (laughs). It is a magic place, apparently where films with go a lot of cuts and come out with no cuts. It sounds to me like a waste of time but it's great. So, yes the process is on. Hopefully it will come out with few cuts because it's a lovely film. We think the trailer should be released only after we are sure about the number of cuts."
Further, he was also asked if he feels hopeful about proper censorship, now that the new CBFC Chief Prasoon Joshi, has replaced Pahlaj Nihalani. He said, "I am always hopeful but I am realistic as well. I don't know what will happen... Let's see."
