Recently, we met the Gadar: EK Prem Katha actor and spoke about several things including his son Karan’s debut, CBFC and more. When we asked him if he would like to take the Ghayal franchise ahead, he gave us hint that he can make it but he is currently busy with his son’s debut movie. He said, “Franchise ko aage le jana toh chahta hai aadmi but filaal main bahut kaamo me busy hu (laughs). I am concentrating more on my son right now. I did this film and there 2 more films which are stuck in the censors, I want that the movies should release soon. I don’t know why my movies get stuck, I always think to come with three movies a year but unfortunately it doesn’t happen.”

Since he spoke about his movies that have been stuck in the censors, we asked his views on writer Prasoon Joshi has replacing Pahlaj Nihalani as a new censor chief.

Upon being asked if fhe feel that the films will have smooth censoring, he said, “(Laughs) change is going to keep on happening. You do not where we get stuck, so this fight has always been on with the censors ever since I have been in this industry. My request to the whole thing is that let the film industry decide them because end of the day a censor is supposed to basically stop the film not release of the film but they can only give you grading.”

Ask him about his son Karan’s film Pal Pal Dil Ke Pass, he added, “It’s too early to talk about it. When I am really done and finish with, I will definitely have a nice chat about it. Just getting the whole thing done.”
