Veteran actor Vinod Khanna has been hospitalised because of “severe dehydration”. His son Rahul confirmed the news, further revealing that Mr Khanna is having a steady recovery. Born 6 October 1946, Vinod Khanna is an Indian actor and producer of Bollywood films. He is also an active politician, a sitting Member of Parliament from Gurdaspur. Till date, Vino Khanna has appeared in 141 films in a cinema career that spans over half a century.
The 70-year-old, who is a Bharatiya Janata Party MP from Gurdaspur in Punjab, was admitted to Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Centre in Girgaon, Mumbai. Rahul also said the doctors are looking to discharge him soon. “Dad was hospitalised on Friday for severe dehydration. The situation was quickly brought under control, he’s doing much better and the doctors are looking to discharge him soon,” he told a leading daily.
“Our family is most grateful for the extraordinary care he’s been receiving at the hospital and we are touched by all the good wishes pouring in,” Rahul further adds.
